RF Broadband Engineer

 

   

Major Responsibilities:
1. Create and Analyze alternative RF Link Budgets considering several call models.
2. Review and assist markets with 3G RF Design
3. Provide design level feedback to ensure network objectives are achieved.
4. Engineer and maintain all system performance translations and parameters to support network additions and continuous improvement for our markets.
5. Write system performance acceptance tests.
6. Develop performance-related processes and interact and closely coordinate activities with all markets.
7. Assist in developing technical plans for new technology integration and implementation.
8. Develop creative solutions for resolving traffic and performance challenges on a continual basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electric and Electronic Communications Engineering or similar
Required: 3 years of work experience with 3G networks; priorities if listed 1) CDMA (IS-95, 1xRTT, EV-DO) 2) WCDMA 3) UMTS 4) Wi-Max. Emphasis on RF Design and Planning.

 

Required:

 

-strong experience with various RF planning and design tools such as Wizard, Planet and Mapinfo; Collocated and new technology networks.

 

Required: Link budget and traffic analysis experience; 3G optimization knowledge preferred.
Required: Good oral and written communication skills and inter-personal skills.
Preferred: Spanish and/or Portuguese language skill
