Clint stands in for Dina who is out on vacation. Tom saw Beowulf and was? under whelmed. It was a big "why bother" in his opinion. Is 3D doomed to be a gimmick? Only time will tell. Many manufacturers are coming out with a new "glasses free" 3D display. What are Tom and Clint looking for out of this display? Tom has a Star Trek moment. AV manufacturers need to learn how to name their gear. How do you make a good display look bad? Settings, settings, settings. How to see the difference between "good" and "bad" black definition. A word of advice for when you are calibrating a display. Poor Clint doesn't have enough swag. Waa. A new contest is announced - and you've got multiple chances to enter.
